NRICH blog reflection

     The NRICH Project aims to enrich the mathematical experiences of all learners. To support this aim, members of the NRICH team work in a wide range of capacities, including providing professional development for teachers wishing to embed rich mathematical tasks into everyday classroom practice. This web resource provides many different learning strategies and materials in order to enrich the learning of all different students in al different levels.  There are resources for students as well as teachers.  There are a variety of activities and learning practices that relate to the learning of students of all ages.

     I think that I would use this website because it has a lot of great ideas and ways to use different resources of learning. I think that it could provide ways for students to be engaged while learning and stay motivated while being supported and benefitting.  There are many different resources so any student is able to find something that works best for them.  As a teacher, this website gives you answers about students learning and provides background and support for the students problems.  It can help to answer many different methods and strategies that students use, as well as the ways to teach topics that will best benefit the students learning as individuals and as a group.

     It could help me gain more knowledge about my teaching because it shows the different ways that students think and how to teach specifically for the students.  It helps the teachers to think as students and there are numerous resources available in order to find clear and concrete understanding. I learned that as a teacher, you should aim to do for students only what they cannot yet do for themselves. The teacher needs to focus on the learners. I can gain knowledge on how to provide engaging problems for the students while still being supported as the teacher. This site provides a lot of different development.

     I think that the most interesting aspect of the resource was the amount of activities and problems that it provides.  I think that making this site exciting and enticing will help the students use the site to benefit their math learning the most.  There are a lot of fun activities, which can help all students see that they can learn while still enjoying it.  Also, I think it is great that there is a section of the site where students can talk to trained mentors about math problems and how to find the right solutions.  Overall, I think that this site has explanations and ideas for everyone, and that it could really help a lot of students.

     I would recommend this site for any teacher or student.  There are a lot of important ideas and resources within the site that can promote growth in math, while still enjoying it.  I think that anyone can benefit from it, and I think it is really important that it reaches out to all different grade levels and teaching levels.  This gives everyone the opportunity to learn and grow. There are a lot of learning strategies and methods that are presented on this site, and I believe that there is a way for everyone to be satisfied by using this website as a resource.
